2. Today: Parts B and C (synthesis) practice:
- read text 1 + answer multiple choice questions
- read text 2 + answer multiple choice questions
3. Prep Synthesis essay (due at the end of Friday's class):
- theme, thesis (that addresses topic/both texts) - 6-8 quotations (you must cite from both texts); introduced, integrated, cited, and explained - transitions (use compare/contrast words) - mechanical error free - 4-6 paragraphs (note: intro and conclusion can be shorter than lit analysis intros and conclusions).
