PARENTS: I WILL BE UNAVAILABLE THIS THURSDAY NIGHT FOR PARENT-TEACHER INTERVIEWS. I WILL BE AVAILABLE ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON (AFTER EARLY DISMISSAL) FOR INTERVIEWS. PLEASE EMAIL ME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR FRIDAY OR FOR AN UPDATE ON YOUR CHILD'S PROGRESS.

2. Finish film adaptation.
3. Assigned: Original Composition paragraph (good draft due Thursday):
A. Define the words stereotype, bias, and prejudice.
B. Provide examples of stereotypes. How do they get created/continue to exist? Are stereotypes beneficial or harmful?
- Write a well-developed paragraph (8-12 complete sentences) responding to the following prompt:
*What are stereotypes? Are they beneficial or harmful? Describe a time that you were stereotyped - with specific detail - and how it made you feel. Furthermore, describe a time when you stereotyped someone or some group. Has your opinion changed? Why or why not?

2b. Peer Edit: Edit a classmate's paragraph for the following:
- 7-10 complete sentences (no fragments, run-ons, or comma splices)

- thoughtful, developed answers (can you decipher your classmate's opinions and feelings about the Kony 2012 ad campaign?)
*Good draft due at the beginning of tomorrow's class.*
