All classes: Your book reviews are due this Friday, October 26th! No lates accepted!

English 10E

1. On Thursday, students received a copy of Theories of Relativity by Barbara Haworth-Attard
2. We read a newspaper article about homelessness in Canada.
3. Started journal answering two questions:
- What would you do if you became homeless? What would you be afraid of?
- What would you do if you found out your friend was homeless?
*Your journal entries should be 1-2 pages, double-spaced
Journal #1 due at the end of Monday's class
4. We will be begin reading the novel. Each chapter we read will have a set of comprehension questions as well as a journal response
5. Today you will have time to finish reading your independent novel and work on your book review.

1. Continued working on identifying terms in poems
2. Your 20 examples are due at the end of today's class (Monday)
3. There will be a poetry term identification quiz on Tuesday.
4. Time to finish independent novel and work on book review

1. On Thursday we did further brainstorming for your satires (due Wednesday). Remember, your issue has to be something that affects society (think big picture) and be creative, don't simply write a "rant".
