1. Class time to finish Act I graphic novel (due tomorrow at the beginning of class).

1. Film: "Bowling for Columbine"
2. Answer the following questions, each answer should be at least a paragraph (5-10 sentences).
Your minimum 5 paragraph response to the film is due Monday:
  •  How does media impact our daily lives? Give specific examples.
  • Discuss your views about violence in the United States compared to violence in other countries.
  • What or who creates violent individuals? Who is responsible when a child or young adult commits a crime?
  • What do you fear in our society and why? What do you think causes your fears?
  • Where do you stand on gun ownership and gun control issues? Be specific.

**End of Unit Music Project** (Due December 20th)
--> Choose at least 6 songs to represent themes/characters/emotions/etc. from the novel
--> Analyze and explicate each song and the parallels you have drawn to the novel (500-750 wds)
--> Options: Print out the song lyrics

                    List the name of the artist/titles/versions
--> Identify the chapter/character/theme to each song
