1. Read Act III, sc i.
2. Watch Act III, sc i-ii (to line 336).
3. Answer questions (all scene i questions and #1-5 for scene ii), finish for homework, discuss tomorrow.
4. Scene ii considerations: Is Hamlet's "Mouse-Trap" successful in achieving his aims?
What does Hamlet's treatment of Ophelia mean? Is he disillusioned with women? life? Is his cruelty another example of his "antic disposition" or is he actually going mad?
*Themes: deception (falsity to further personal agenda), death, political scheming, madness (feigned or real?), reason vs passion

- discuss: What are efficient ways to destroy culture? What are the benefits of destroying a culture, or forcing its people to assimilate?
