1. Finish "The Sterilization of Leilani Muir" documentary. Discuss.
2. Review & discuss the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (handout from yesterday).
3. Prepare outline for Documentary Paragraph (written in-class tomorrow; due at the end of class).
4. Reminders: Your formal Current Events (filled out work sheet or typed + attached article) are due Monday, September 19th (be prepared to present!) and your Unit Test is on Thursday, September 22nd (this covers everything we've studied/discussed up to Wednesday, September 21st so ensure you are reviewing daily!).

English 11
Short Stories
1. Hand in WAQ if you haven't already done so (before the second bell!).
2. Literary Device and Short Story elements review quiz.
3. "The Possibility of Evil" by Shirley Jackson (p. 163).
- WAQ topic: Using textual evidence, describe irony and symbolism in "The Possibility of Evil".
4. Tomorrow: WAQ outline:
- theme statement - thesis statement - 5 quotations (to be I, I, C, E) - transitions - conclusion - mechanics - WAQ format

5. Monday: In-Class: Write good draft of "The Possibility of Evil" WAQ (due at the end of Monday's class).

Volleyball
- Get forms signed, completed, hand in to me in B113.
- Pick up uniforms Monday at lunch from Mr. Tagle in the gym (with your fees paid receipt).
- Games will be on Wednesdays; if you work, book Wednesdays 3-530pm off for the season.
