- strong thesis, 6-8 specific points with supporting evidence, mechanics/grammar, organization/structure
2. Textbooks distributed, progress reports (one-on-one).

English 11
Short Stories
1. Work on "The Lamp at Noon" WAQ; good copy due tomorrow at the beginning of class.
(Citing textual evidence, explain how Ross' description of the environment illuminates theme.)
- 4-6 quotations, WAQ format, Mechanics
2. Tomorrow: Introduction to novel study.
3. Review your lit devices.

2. Prepare outline (you may not bring to test tomorrow) for following paragraph prompt:
Define and provide examples of civil disobedience.
~Criteria:
- strong thesis, 6-8 specific points with supporting evidence, mechanics/grammar, organization/structure (cause --> effect --> solution).
3. You should be reviewing your notes as well as chapters 9 and 10 daily. If you haven't already done so, review pages 295-296, 304, 308, 316-317.

Ensure you remember to go to Mr. Tagle at the BEGINNING OF LUNCH ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH to get your uniform. If you do not pick it up, you will not be playing.
- Practice schedule beginning next week: Mondays 430-6, Thursdays 430-6
- Games will be on Wednesdays right after school (ensure you book off appropriate times if you have part-time jobs). If you do not come to practices, you will not be playing in the games.
*Today: some permission form booklets still not handed in; AD form must be filled out by all.
