1b. Focus question: What did people in Canada value and believe in 1900? (Be conscious of your own ethno/egocentrism.) Remember, historical perspectives are shaped by the social and cultural setting of the time.
*Compare your values to the values of 1914 (p. 8 question).
2. In-Class: Perspectives/Evidence Chart (see p. 22 for details). We will be adding to this further throughout the unit.
2b. In-Class: Read and discuss p. 10-11, answer questions.
3. Homework: Read p. 2-13, 10-11 answer questions (due tomorrow).
